FREE Carpool Parking

Want FREE parking? No problem, here’s how to get it.

Once you have two or more eligible carpool members (including you), you may apply for an Alameda County carpool permit to receive free-mium parking at Alameda County facilities.

  1. Organize: Form a carpool. You can sign up with Commute.acgov.org to find potential Alameda County carpool partners to share your commute.
  2. Check Eligibility: Your carpool must include at least two Alameda County employees (including you!). You must enter and leave the parking facility together to receive free parking. Contact Alameda County Parking Division at 2-9500 or 510-208-9500 with questions about eligibility or parking benefits at your facility.
  3. Complete Application: To apply for a carpool permit, download and complete the carpool permit application.
  4. Submit Application: Mail the completed carpool registration form to the Alameda County Parking Division at QIC 26021.
  5. Receive Your Permit: If your application is approved, you will be notified when your permit is ready to be picked up or mailed to you. This normally takes 7 to 10 days from the date your application is received.
